Here's what to expect during your interview process

Initial Phone Screen
Our hiring process begins with an initial phone conversation, to explore the fit between the position you're interested in and what we are looking for. We want to ensure that the match between the candidate and role works for both parties equally.

Meet Senior Team
If the initial conversation welcomes more exploration, the next step is to meet with our team for a technical interview. You'll generally be meeting with team members from your area of interest, and other DeveloperTown staff might join in as well. These can be remote or on-site, dependent on the circumstances and role.

Receive Offer Letter
After meeting with our team, the next phase of the interview process is the Offer Letter. The letter will include things such as estimates start date, salary, and benefits package. Offer Letters generally take 1-2 weeks from the conclusion of the candidate process to arrive by e-mail.

Acceptance of Offer
The next step in employment is a formal acceptance of the offer - welcome to DeveloperTown! At this point, we coordinate with you on a firm start date and get you the materials and information you need to be successful.

Getting Started
After you have accepted the offer and joined our team, the first few weeks of employment are centered around ramping you up to speed within our culture. We want all new team members to feel welcome and part of the team. We want to support you the best way we can during this period, so we frequently check in and help guide you along the way.

How should I prepare for the first interview?
At DeveloperTown, we value transparency, skill, and cultural fit. The best thing you can do as an applicant is your homework - understand who we are, what we are looking for, and how you fit the role we are hiring. Our application process is rather like a conversation - both parties will share information in the hopes of forging a common way forward.
What will my career path look like?
We offer a number of training opportunities, both on and offline, to hone your abilities and apply them in client settings. Whether it's certifications, shared resourcing, or other approaches, we collaboratively work together to hash out where you want to go professionally.
Is it possible to work 100% remotely?
We do have employees that engage in 100% remote work - these arrangements are built on trust and performance. We also offer hybrid approaches, where some remote work can be paired with in-office availability. If you have questions about your potential arrangement, please bring them to our staff and we'll answer them as best we can.
Can I switch to a different project while I work at DeveloperTown?
We do the best we can to merge client interests with resource availability and want to respect all parties in the process of doing so. If there's a particular project you are interested in, we will do our best to match your skills to the resource needed, and ensure the optimal situation for all involved - you, DeveloperTown, and our client.
